Yearly Summary 2025
Dec 26
Looking back at the beginning of this year makes me both emotional and proud. Even though I’m still far from the greatest achievements of my dreams, I’ve already come a long way. Life itself can be challenging for all of us, and we constantly adapt and go through changes. That’s exactly the foundation of Pixabove’s business model, and it’s a concept I’ll never let go of.
A lot has changed this year. Pixabove’s main focus has always been drones and other UAV solutions, and it will remain that way. However, the market hasn’t been very forgiving, which pushed me to explore other technical approaches to videography and cinematography. I’ve researched, volunteered, and worked alongside experts in the field to learn as much as possible from professionals. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have such a network, and I never take it for granted. I want to thank Feelm Creative, Koptercam, Fireframe, Formlös, Mestoil Films, Medeltidsveckan, and many others who have helped and supported me. You know who you are.
I’m almost done writing my final exam and am close to graduating from Arcada University of Applied Sciences. Naturally, my thesis is about how new innovations are affecting the market in a similar way drones once did. I want to point out how rapidly filmmaking is changing, along with its pros and cons of using drone technology.
It’s been a hell of a ride, and four years in school flew by in no time. During these years, I also participated in additional courses focused on entrepreneurship, and I want to give a huge thank you to the amazing teachers and speakers. The knowledge and experience you share with students are worth more than money.
It’s hard to predict the future, but I expect the coming year to be just as tough as the previous one, though in different ways. I trust the experts I interviewed during my research for my exam, and I’ll continue in the same direction as before. It’s a high-risk path, but one with great potential. No matter how miserable it can be to get the shot, you have to love what you create. It truly shows in the final result. If choosing “hard difficulty” as a game level helps me move forward in the market, I’ll take on that challenge any day to evolve as a creator, media producer, and videographer.
If you made it this far, thank you for tagging along. Looking forward to seeing what 2026 has to offer. Hope you’ll join us!
